The memorandum reads: The use of the mark is subject to an agreement dated 30 January 1990 between NEPI (New Era Publications ApS, now New Era Publications International ApS), NEP UK (New Era Publications U.K. Limited and REC (Church of Scientology Religious Education College Incorporated) on the one hand and NEL (New Era Laboratories Limited) on the other hand under which use of the mark is restricted in the Health Food Trade and there is no connection between NEL on the one hand and NEPI, NEP UK or REC on the other.
