Australian Trade Mark Search is the Australian Government’s trade mark search system.
It is a condition of registration that when used in respect of wines, the trade mark will only be used in respect of wines originating (as defined in the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation Act 1980) in the area in respect of which the geographical indication YARRA VALLEY is registered and that the use is in accord with the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation Act 1980.
It is a condition of registration that when used in respect of alcoholic beverages other than wines, the trade mark will only be used in respect of alcoholic beverages other than wines produced in the YARRA VALLEY.
When the trade mark is used for items in the specification of goods other than MERLOT produced in the year 2000, the word and the numeral MERLOT and 2000 in the trade mark will be changed to accord with those other items.
